JD SALINGER WORKSHEET THING

i connected to this article for the obvious reason, because i'm reading catcher in the rye. Also, i think it would be really cool to be a writer and thats what JD Salinger was. I think JD Salinger was putting part of himself into Holden Caulfield because Holden dropped out of a bunch of schools and so did JD Salinger. Also, JD Salinger went into the army in WWII, and Holden's brother was in the army. I connect to Salinger as a writer because if i were to write a book, i would make it a different person, younger than me, who went through the same problems i have gone through.

Connecting to Holden

im am connecting with the key concept of mental retardation. I believe that Holden had a problem because he cant concentrate, he keeps getting kicked out of school, and he thinks everybody is "phony". my connection to this is that my cousin has been kicked out of school because he wasnt trying in class, and he has really bad adhd and he cant help it. this helps me understand Holden because he can't help thinking the way he does.

JD SALINGER

I think JD Salinger's work should be published because it could effect the Am. Lit. society in a good way for many years. just look how many people have read the Catcher in the Rye, it's a classic. there could be many more of those just sitting inside his house waiting to be shown to everybody. i understand he did not want his work to be published but he is dead so he wouldn't know if it were.
